These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between Women in Digital Business (WIDB) and all individuals who register as speakers, attendees, sponsors, or partners in the Top 100 Most Powerful Black Women Summit™.

By submitting a registration, purchasing a ticket, or otherwise participating in the Summit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you should not proceed with registration or participation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Participants from the European Union are also subject to applicable EU consumer and data protection law. International participants are advised that UK law applies as the primary governing jurisdiction.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless required otherwise by mandatory local consumer law.

The Summit operates in full compliance with GDPR and UK data protection legislation.

Your participation is confirmed upon:

• Completion of the registration form and acceptance of these Terms.
• Receipt of cleared payment (or first payment under an approved payment plan).
• For speakers: submission and acceptance of your speaker application, biography, and session materials.

A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact information is accurate and to check your spam/junk folder.

• All ticket sales are final and non-refundable once payment has been processed.
• Tickets may be transferred to another individual prior to the event; contact us to arrange a transfer.
• Where payment plans are offered, you remain liable for all outstanding instalments regardless of whether you attend the Summit.
• Failure to complete payment plan instalments may result in loss of access and pursuit of the outstanding balance.
• In the exceptional event that WIDB cancels the Summit, ticket holders will be offered credit toward a future event or an alternative arrangement at WIDB's discretion.

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge the use of your data as described, including processing by AI tools for content, analytics, and personalisation.

You can request a copy of your data or exercise your rights at any time by contacting [email protected].

The Summit may deploy AI technology for purposes including but not limited to:

• Transcription, captioning, and post-production of recorded sessions.
• Content generation and editorial assistance.
• Audience analytics and engagement measurement.
• Personalisation of attendee communications and recommendations.

No decision with significant legal or material effect on an individual will be made by automated means without human oversight.

By participating as a speaker or attendee, you grant the Top 100 Most Powerful Black Women Summit™ and WIDB a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• Record, edit, reproduce, and distribute your session presentations, including slides, audio, and video.
• Use recordings, photographs, and clips featuring your likeness for Summit marketing, social media, email campaigns, and future promotional materials.
• Repurpose participant-delivered testimonials, Q&A responses, and panel contributions.
• Archive and make available Summit recordings to registered participants.

Speakers retain ownership of their own original intellectual property but grant the above licence upon participation. Any frameworks, session structures, or curricula proprietary to WIDB remain WIDB's exclusive property.

Speakers are permitted to promote their own offers and capture leads via their own opt-in funnels, landing pages, or direct audience interaction during their designated sessions.

WIDB does not share or sell the full attendee list with any speaker, sponsor, or third party. Any attendee contact sharing is subject to explicit individual consent from the attendee concerned.

WIDB reserves the right to modify the event schedule, session order, speakers, or format at any time without prior notice. Every effort will be made to communicate changes promptly.

WIDB is not liable for any loss or inconvenience resulting from schedule changes, speaker substitutions, or technical issues beyond our reasonable control.

All participants are expected to engage respectfully and professionally at all times. Behaviour that is disruptive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the Summit without refund.

WIDB reserves the right to determine what constitutes inappropriate conduct and to act accordingly.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WIDB's liability to any participant is limited to the value of the ticket purchased. WIDB is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential losses arising from participation or non-attendance.
• Loss of business, revenue, profit, or opportunity.
• Content presented by third-party speakers.
• Technical failures, internet outages, or platform downtime.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

WIDB will not be in breach of these Terms or liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, governmental restrictions, civil unrest, power failures, or other force majeure events.

Where such events affect the Summit, WIDB will make reasonable efforts to preserve ticket validity for a rescheduled or alternative event.

The Summit is open exclusively to individuals aged 18 and over. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. WIDB reserves the right to refuse or revoke access where this requirement is not met.

WIDB reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be published on the Summit website. Continued participation following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
